of pranks and sorts.

So we met up for dinner, and I was like an hour late.
But nonetheless, made it in time for the meal with the rest. Our food got served roughly at the same time.

Jingwen revealed the scandal about umhurmm, *cough cough, Gerald and Si Min.
WHICH EXPLAINS EVERYTHING. The 100 Plus, the welfare and the occasions Gerald stopped us from teasing SM!
Hahaha, it was something unexpected though, that would be revealed then.
A good deal of time was spent teasing those two, and Ian went all out to do so.

We stepped things up a notch, by getting a cake for Gerald and getting the crew of Fish and Co. to do the Birthday cheer.
The catch was that it wasn't even his birthday. But heck, it's all in the name of fun.
So.. pictures pictures! Augustine has the full video though. Lol.

huh what bday?

huh what bday boy? NO!

the gf gets dragged in.

they had to blow the candles while standing on the chair.
christine and jingwen made sure they couldn't.
we also dedicated a song for them. how lovely.

we went for some singing after that.
this is the best my iPhone can do in the dark.

Life.

  • Jul. 17th, 2009 at 2:37 PM

When you're down with the flu and gotta stay at home, besides watching TV and practically camping on facebook, i kinda got into reminiscing the good old days while lying on the bed trying to get some solid rest. Surprisingly, the flashbacks went all the way back when I was a tiny tot. Yeah, like what the hell, how on earth can someone remember things so long ago? It did require some substantial recollection and brainpower.
Then I thought hey, might as well record this down somewhere, with life moving at such as fast pace, there's no guarantee I'll remember what I can recall today. Somehow having a Pensieve seems so appropriate right now. Alright, too much HP. Let's get started then.

The Kindergarden:

I really cannot remember much about this early part of life, but i do remember the school in the Lorong Chuan/Paya Lebar area, the play toys and my favourite bus uncle! lol. He used to give the white rabbit candy to all of us. I remember that in K1 there was a class performance, and it was got to do with protecting our eyesight. We wore this really retro looking singlet with shorts, hot sunglasses, and were singing along to the song "眼镜眼镜找朋友". There was also the performance in K2, but i really cant remember shitz except that the costume was HORRIDLY colourful.

Primary School:

The days of Ai Tong School.
Who could have forgotten how I smashed a box of Japanese Doll souvenirs back in Primary 1, where I tripped while carrying it from the main office.
In Primary 2, the class was in a Sticker Album frenzy and we went all out to get the best stickers. Furry ones really intrigued me back then.
Soon came P3, and the ruckus was all centred on the strongest digimon, which combination to use to ensure victory and all that Jazz.
Primary 4 was mostly spent studying and attending all sorts of workshops and enrichment programmes. I had a very fun class though. 4C!
Primary 5 was all fun. Class Monitoring with a bully Class Monitoress, aiyo.
Excursions, Field trips, and the PE lessons with Miss Chan FY. Lol. At Sean Wong's bday party we set off rockets made from sparklers and there was one that got stuck on the tree.
In P5 I also acted in a skit for some Health Awareness Competition, and I played the role of Phua Chu Kang.
Thanks to Sean Koh for the boots, and Miss Chan for using a plaster and colouring it for the mole, it was a hit and we got 1ST place.
The trophy needs some polishing now, but I still have it. (: Don't Pray Pray! Ah hahaheehihihehheh.
Primary 6 was mugging mugging and more mugging. And more duties of a class monitor.
I went down with HFMD for 2 weeks and I had really good pals such as Andy and gang that came to visit. Tension was high in class too, with 张老师 and her insane lessons where we had to memorise sentences and regurgitate them when she asked the class randomly. Han Ying was good competition, she spurred me to work even harder.

The end of PSLE was bliss. That came the time when we were trading Pokemons, yes, Gameboy. And I got my Gameboy Colour. Till now, I'm still impressed tt I completed the Gold Version, which was in Japanese. We had after school activities that were insane, Block Catching was the best of it all. And there was the buzz about writing autograph books for each other.
I laugh hysterically whenever I see them, at how we used to classify friends from Bestest, Best, Good, Normal, Hated to Enemies.

Most memorable of all was that we always seemed to have a thing for mass dances.
Those were the days where we stayed back after sch, went to the dance studio to prepare for the class item we had to present.
Backstreet boys, Westlife, S Club 7, Britney Spears and Cristina Aguilera were our favorites then.

Of SJI and Scouts:

Sadly, I was the only one from the class that managed to get into SJI.
I had a brilliant class, we were fun-loving dudes, and I recall how Mr Al Greg interviewed me for Scouts Selection.
I sang 'Top of the World' and 'Twinkle x2 little star' for the selection. lol.
And yes, how could anyone forget how I started my first Scout Meeting with a Bang? Yes, Zongbing, control your comments... Haha.
Mr Lim Meng Chye's Bio, Mr Ghazali's Literature, Ms Joan Lee's and Mrs. Sng's Math, Ms Periasamy's English, and Miss De'Costa's Chem lessons were all those that were really enjoyable. For all the good and bad reasons. Ha.
Campfires, Hikes, and all the scouting activities were also an essential part of my secondary sch life.
How we went through UTC and PLTC, the things we did and said to each other, and all the funny moments. Lol.
I really enjoyed the last year in Scouts when we were in Sec 4. Haha.
We also loved Zip's Oriental Cooking. Till now. Or rather, maybe not. But still, Mameha knows best!
The after school activities on short school days, rushing to Orchard to beat the crowd to catch a movie, have lunch,
or even LAN, since, it's just a short bus ride away.
And there was the singing of school songs,
'Josephians! Celebrate our Alma Mater's Jubilee! With hearts aflamed and voices raised... till the end of time!'

CJC and more.

First 3 Months with 1T07 was insane. We had so much fun that woah, it's mind blowing till now.
Cross Dressing, Mugging (yes indeed, you must be thinking who mugs in first 3 months?), and the Orientation. Hahaha. I forgot the movie we watched tgt as a class though.

Then came the new class, 1T06, which I spent 2 weeks before going over to the O-M-G 1T25.
I should have never appealed for a change of subjects.
However, what's done is done and
Mr Thomas Ho, Mr Elton, Miss Rena Peh, Miss Giam, and Miss Lim, made lessons, unique.
There was DoTA, WoW, class chalets and etc. Good times.
We had fun, definitely, which came at a very high cost.

There was Brother Paul, Mr Isaac Lim's PE lesson, the awesome Omelette served by the western stall, and the Wanton Noodles from Noodles Uncle.

Most importantly was the events I did with NYAA, the NDP CIP @ Padang, and overseas CIP and expeditions.
Fun and Memorable times.
With photos aplenty!

NS.

Then there was NS.
Before going to Tekong, I had a blast with Hwee Hwee, Claire and Zhiyu working at the call centre at Singtel.
There was Claire going nuts over a caller and so much more. Haha.
And it followed with a 6 week stint with Singtel where I got to work with Citibank. Those were beneficial experiences.

Orion Platoon 1 was awesome. We were the shitz. My buddy was the coolest. Seriously. We chatted after lights out and even panicked over the rustling heard under our beds. (We found out that they were rats.)
We spent countless hours eating at the common table, talking ever so much at every single random thing.
And we spent hours trying to beat Wenyong's super shiny boots which he polished just with Kiwi and the Orange Cloth.
And the night before POP, how we tried to move both An Liang and his mattress while he was sleeping to the corridor.

SISPEC was the time where it was the most relaxed. The mood and atmosphere was generally different and very comfortable.
I had a good pal to confide in whenever there were difficulties, and Gerald was well, very helpful. Thanks bro.
The first day where we met SGT Bernard, oh my.
How we marched round the Leader's Square for countless rounds, and the funny lessons we had.
There was the reading of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows till the wee hours in bunk.
Until one fine night our PS came upstairs and found out about it.
The outfields, our beloved OC, and my good pal Eng Wu.
Without him I wouldn't have been able to make OC Night a happening night. Many thanks!
We also had a very unforgettable night before POP-ing from BSLC
My buddy Zhixiang whom I trusted without question, was in cahoots with the rest and I ended up getting raped.
Thanks ah, the heat rub, soap, dettol disinfectant, toothpaste were all mine. And there was spanking too.
I remember it very clearly till this moment..... !

Crossing Over to OCS was like a dream come true.
That's how I got to meet John, Kenneth and Fabian, and shockingly I was pleasantly relieved to see Pei Yuan waiting at the common area in the morning.
We can never forget Ex Typhoon.
The wonderful defense field camp Ex Scorpion King, where I dug a Fire Trench with Colin Ang, and how I, in complete darkness, fell into a trench while walking to the command post.
JCC, Crescendo, CPC, then CWSM, and Ex Finale I PC, those were the highlights of my cadet life.
I was really frightened that I would make errors while navigating, as the pressure was really high.
But all the training paid off and we did awesome-ly well for JCC!
The buddies I had were really good, oh ho, yes, Maher too. He made life in OCS interesting.
Commissioning day was priceless. The feeling and emotions were really electrifying.
That was like the best thing I've done for Mum and Dad in some time. We were really happy.
Currahee!

Going to 6SIR was also another unique experience.
I can't say much about it, but the commanders and men I had were a bunch of fantastic people and they were the Shitz.

Thank you to everyone who have been an important part of my life.
I may not tell you that in the face, but I really do appreciate how things have turned out to be.
Though maybe not everything of course, as it could have been better, but nonetheless, this is good enough.
Here's to lasting friendships, and memories. Cheers!

ODAC FOC.

  • Jul. 13th, 2009 at 8:21 PM

I'm just super glad that I decided to join ODAC.
It's a group of fun-loving, outspoken and really crazy people!

These are main group of people that I was with for the camp, and they're one hell of a group.
Way to go OG 5!

We did dragon boating, and we were AWESOME.
If you were wondering why my mouth's blardy open, NO, I wasn't waiting for flies to fly in, but was syncing the team to row at the same time.

I decided to put this photo up because I find it hilarious.
We were sneezing and coughing out flour after the game, horrible, but great game nonetheless.
JingWen thought she could escape, and we had to share with her some OG love.
Flour FTW.

And this lovely happy photo. How NICE.

FOD.

  • Jul. 7th, 2009 at 2:12 AM

This was how I felt when I woke up at 6.30am. I fell asleep only moments ago! Didn't get a good night's rest from a horrid night of tossing and turning.
Probably it had to do with the start of a new chapter in life.

It's back to school again!
I never expected to see so many familiar faces there that turned up for UOL FOD.
It was a great day of fun, which started off with Aug in another OG. They pulled him down because there was an empty seat. Lol.
But anyway we managed to get into the same OG, after successfully finding someone in OG 3 that was solo.
We then left Clarence and his pal in OG 4.

We started off by changing into the Orientation shirt, and then, the first game.
I'm never really good with names, and it was hell for me during the name game.
The bloody OG was huge!
But other games were pretty okay. I had fun doing the squirrel/tree game.

The chair/caterpillar game was fun too.

It did seem that we were all rather reserved and held back quite a fair bit, as we were all very nice by not thinking of forfeits for ppl to do!
On the other hand, most of us signed up for FOC and we also bought tickets for Superhyped bash tgt. Haha.
Anyway, I look forward to the upcoming outings that are planned. (:
As well as the Lecture buddies and study groups we'll form.

GoGo OG 3!

Farewell to Liang.

  • Jul. 5th, 2009 at 2:10 AM

Thankfully the number of farewells are much lesser than that of 21sts, but we had a little 'goodbye' outing before KaiXiang left for NZ.
An afternoon of games and laughter, we had fun bullying Bala, as always.

Anyway this was what we got him, and I'm glad he liked it.

Good luck, all the best and see you soon bro.
